Comment on Ban of Crosses on Utah HwyWHY can a few dictate what all may or may
not do?? You’d have to have lived in outer space all your life to NOT know that a simple cross shape is a symbol
of remembrance for one who died. [In the article: Federal Appeals Court Rules Against Utah Memorial Crosses Along Highway, the monuments were
erected to honor Highway Patrol troopers who lost their lives in the line of duty. “…they
selected crosses for the memorials because the image of a cross can simultaneously convey a message of death, remembrance,
honor, gratitude and sacrifice.”] If a cross offends you - whether used to commemorate a
person who died, or any other use of the symbol, then LOOK THE OTHER WAY. All kinds of gross, obscene, offensive images are
plentiful on billboards, T-shirts, bumper stickers, magazine covers, TV shows and commercials, in store windows, music videos,
and movie theatres. Why doesn't anyone object and take these morally bankrupt expressions to court?? http://maudeandpoppy.wordpress.com/2010/08/19/court-bans-cross/
Don't let the few dictate what all may do or not do.

AMERICA’S MOMENT-OF-TRUTH AMERICA’S MOMENT-OF-TRUTH Calling All Americans, Especially Hispanics! Pretending that his appointment of Sonia Sotomayor
is a favor to Hispanics, and others who may benefit from empathy (co-called), Barack Obama actually imperils them by advancing
the socialist agenda to render our Constitution null and void.
The statement by Chuck Shumer, to the effect that Republicans/conservatives
“resist her appointment at their own peril” is a liberal bluff that must be called, with firm resistance by all
defenders of our Constitution, civilian and Military, “against all enemies, foreign and domestic”!
Failure to challenge this overt threat is putting present and future generations of Americans at further risk. Our
freedom of speech, Judeo-Christian principles, traditional values, individual-initiative rights, and the United States
of America, as we have known her, are in grave peril.
It’s high time, possibly even past time, for the USS Constitution,
“Old Ironsides,” to fire a cannon ball across the bow of the liberal’s “Barbary-Pirate ship,”
and halt it dead in the water. The moment of truth is upon us, and we dare not submit, or even waver. The time has come
for all who value our Constitution, which is the foundational bulwark of our Republic, to stand up and be counted.
Even green-card holders and illegals should protest Sotomayor’s
confirmation, for they, too, would be jeopardized. Our Constitution is what made this country “The last best hope of
humanity,” the reason for their determination to come here in the first place. Without its protections, they may eventually
be in more danger here than in the lands of their birth.
Sotomayor’s reckless rulings and wacky interpretations of
the Constitution put her firmly in the camp of its enemies, and therefore ours. We cannot afford to risk the damage that she
would be poised to inflict as a Supreme Court Justice.
This is a Fort-McHenry-type showdown, and we dare not surrender, or even
hesitate, in our defense of The Star-Spangled Banner: “Then conquer we must, for our cause, it is just.”
Old Glory represents our nation as founded on the Constitution, that precious document penned and defended by those who
not only pledged “their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor,” but fulfilled their pledge
to the letter, and gave the ultimate sacrifice.
In his Gettysburg address, Abraham Lincoln referred to “their last full
measure of devotion,” when referring to those who paid with their lives, not only to preserve our Republic,
but to abolish slavery, as documented in the Constitution’s 13th Amendment.
It’s time for present-day “Paul
Reveres” to mount our steeds and warn our countrymen that enemy forces in our midst, and in our government, are on the
move, not only “by land” and “by sea,” but also by air. They are among us, with rapid transportation
and communication unimagined in Colonial days, including biased news reporting and deliberate deceptions in every form of
media.
Our
presumptive foreign-born “president” is poised to ride roughshod over the checks and balances established by our
Constitution. Having usurped the presidency, he awaits the opportune moment to wrest the remaining reigns of government from
both Houses of Congress and the Supreme Court, with the devoted assistance of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and others, and Sonia
Sotomayor in her anticipated position of influence. Two down, one to go!
Adolph Hitler’s transition from
Chancellor to Dictator was only one small step, and the current scenario is dangerously similar! How can any thinking person say: “It can’t happen here”?
Few who “held their peace” in those dark days lived
to express their regrets, but here is a timely warning for all of us to break ranks with “the silent majority,”
and let our voices be heard before it’s too late.
SPEAK UP! By
Martin Niemoeller, Lutheran pastor in Dachau Concentration Camp since 1938, freed by Allied Forces in 1945. In Germany, the Nazis first
came for the communists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t
speak up because I wasn’t a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist.
Then
they came for the Catholics, and I didn’t speak up because I was a Protestant. Finally they came for me, but by then there was no one left to speak up.

Will Obama crush the coal industry Is this one more example
of the promise for CHANGE?
A recording just surfaced, Obama telling the San Francisco Chronicle how the Coal Industry will go under.
"If someone wants
to build a coal powered plant, they can. It's just it will bankrupt them because they are going to be charged a huge
sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted."
Further, he says: "When I was asked
earlier about the issue of coal - uhh. Under my plan of a cap and trade system, the electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket." ~San Francisco Chronicle, January 17, 2008

JONAH’S PROPHECY NOWIf Jonah came to your land, as to Nineveh that day, And cried aloud
in prophet-tones, with words you heard him say: “In
forty days (one month plus ten) your land will be no more,” Would you believe the warning of that man, just put ashore, Transported by a great fish (three days and nights within), Because he’d run away from God, and suffered for his sin?
Perhaps he wore a loincloth of seaweed, wrapped and tied,
Because of human modesty, his nakedness to hide. Perhaps his
skin was ashen-grey, from stomach acids there, As he floated midst the items of the fish’s
dinner fare. Did the pagan ones of Nineveh mistake him for Neptune, A god they may have worshipped, why they heeded him so soon?
As day-by-day, from dawn to dusk (it took three
days to cross),
Old Jonah cried aloud to spare the people from
great loss. At first the hearers questioned: “Just who is
this crazy one Who cries out such outrageous threats each day from sun
to sun?” But then his words began to penetrate their minds and
hearts, As one-by-one some then believed,
on streets, in homes, in marts.
More and more believed his words, and the
king was told at last;
He took the matter in his hands and called a total fast: “Not old nor young, not man nor beast, shall anything partake; Perchance, by deep humility, this grievous curse we’ll break. Let man and beast wear sackcloth, and no violence be found; Let all cry mightily to God, from evil ways turn round…
“Perchance His anger will abate, His wrath be turned away
When He sees we are repentant and mean just what we pray.” He rose up from his royal throne and laid aside his robe, Then clothed himself in rough sackcloth; the ash heap his abode. God saw their deep contrition, how they heeded Jonah’s call, Withheld His hand of judgment and forgave them, one and all.
As in the days of Nineveh, that city wide and great,
America must now repent, before it is too late. God’s boundless grace is offered now wherever sins abound, But mercy is not endless where repentance can’t be found. Who knows if forty days, or weeks, or months will yet elapse Between today and judgment, His protective wall’s collapse?
In fact, who knows if only forty hours yet remain
Till heart attack, an accident, foul play, or stroke of brain May snuff out life, or render one incapable of thought. Perhaps the time is very short, and yet we know it not, If forty minutes, even seconds, be our futures’ length, Let all repent…relinquish sin, so God can give new strength!
Let timid Christians seek His face, and pray “the sinners’ prayer,”
Lest sheaves be lost that we might lay at Christ’s feet, over there. The fear we may offend, by witnessing in Jesus’ name, Is nothing when compared with the offense, and thus the shame, Of letting hell-bound souls proceed along the downward way! Will they lift up their eyes in flames and, agonizing, say:
“I’m sure that I remember you; we lived just down your street,
You always greeted pleasantly whenever we would meet. But if you knew about this place and kept the truth from me, I pray, from now, you’ll share that truth with everyone you see, So they may turn to Jesus Christ before it is too late. Give them an
opportunity, lest this should be their fate!”

DID HE OR DIDN'T HE? For 20 years Barack Obama followed a preacher of
hate and said nothing is Wright raged against the United States of America. I think people noticed. Watch this video.
Early in his run for the presidency, Obama bragged that Rev. Wright
was his close friend, advisor, officiant of both his wedding and the baptisim of his children. Then, when their relationship
was finally (rightfully) questioned, he suddenly turned tail, and denounced his close friend, advisor to say that he never
really knew him that well.
Which is it? Stick to the same version of the story for more than a day
in a row!
